Two cublets swinging!
Totally digging your red pants Cal!
I'm coming to grips with it and am so grateful
you are a healthy, thriving, vivacious, energetic "tot"
But still a Mommy's baby!!!
In thinking about your 12 months, I have only a couple regrets.
- Why didn't I pay for professional newborn pictures?!?!!!
- Why did I wait over 4 months before bringing you into bed with me?!?!! I can't believe I kept trying to have you sleep in the crib with you night waking every 40min. ALL NIGHT LONG for MONTHS! The grand irony, is now sleeping with you is one of my favorite things! I'm so in love with the family bed. If I could do it all over I don't think I would even buy a crib what would we ever want to be separated?!?!! (wink!) I feel the most incredible feelings having you cuddled up in my arms all night long. Your the first and last thing I see everyday. What could be better??!?!!
Everyday you turn out long speeches on a new comprehension. You'll notice that you can unplug the drain in your bath and the water comes out or that there are speakers in the store which people make announcements from; mind boggling occurrences which you point at and talk loudly about in great profusion. You keep me laughing with your sunny side up personality and always like to be my big helper on my hip assisting me. Moondrop! When you meet people you go right up to them and ask them to hold you. Your shy bone must be in your pinky toe because I so rarely see it. I think you'll be a wonderful big brother someday. If we have a large family it will be because you are so amazing, you make me want to have more babies just like you! No, this will not be happening anytime soon-I'm just recognizing that my sweet little baby is becoming a toddler.
When you are finished eating and I ask you if you would like more food,
you make this cute pucker and give me a quiet, short one word, "no" and more pucker lips.
It looks like you have taken off your hat here, but you were actually trying to put it on. It's gotten too small so it didn't work so well. I can't believe how much your growing! I try and squeeze you into teeny pajamers at night covering my denial that I will have to shop from the big boy sections and not in the cute newborn sizes anymore. sniff! sniff!

What a cutie! In that one picture he looks like he is a farmer/cowboy taking off his hat and scratching it with the same hand. I hear you about the growing thing - Jude is getting out of baby clothes way to quickly!
