This year we made a few trips to Apple Hill for apple picking and pumpkin patching.
The kids were crazy for the hot donuts and cider.
Doodles picking out her "beaUty!"
Shadden scoured the patch high and low for perfect pumpkins with his serious face and pumpkin digging.
Just look at those paws!
Harvest baking!
Choochoo turns one next month!
The kids were raging all morning cheering for pumpkin carving.
Somebody was super excited.
Until he realized it was gooey.
I think we heard the word disgusting about twenty times.
So Bobcat and Mommy ended up gutting and carving while the kids played.
Harvest time! Harvest time!
Morning chants and songs
Mommy, Daddy, Kealana "woo-woo," & Shazzie-pie
The kids were so excited. They waited since last year to wear their new costumes. They begged to put them on and start the party. We invited the Blystra's over for dinner, games, and trick or treating. It rained all day but cleared up just in time for the party. Horray!!!
Ms. Wendy Angela Moira Darling
This two year knew candy was involved in trick or treating.
She kept her bag held tight!
Look at that whittle finger
KK loved her pumpkin!
I gave Kealana and Shadden material and had each fashion a (gasp!) dagger pouch.
Hook!
I was worried KK would be scared of Captain Hook, because she insisted I could not be anything scary. Yet, when she saw Daddy she told me, "Wendy is brave. She fights Captain Hook." Shadden later reported, "she told everyone that!"
You can imagine how many rounds of Hook Shadden has begged to play! We get to hear our favorite laugh of Shadden's every time he plays it.
So small yet so fast
Kealana ran all night long keeping up with the big kids.
First up for piñata...Wendy Darling
lollipop smiles
Nana made me an awesome purple M costume!
Bobbing for apples
Baby Peter was so cute trying to bob!!
Next year little buddy!
Time for trick or treating!
The kids loved this neighbor who had a talking parrot
handing out treats repeating things they would say.
It's fun to see how each neighbor does something different.
This neighbor handed out carmel apples!
Kealana and Gracie held hands the entire time much to Kealana's delight. Shadden ran ahead with Harrison. We made him wear the cartoon version of Peter Pan for trick or treating so he wouldn't be too cold in his "REAL Peter Pan costume."
It was emotional seeing my little babies acting so big running around without me. Last year KK was scared of males who answered the door and wanted me to hold her. This year she wouldn't let me hold her hand because she wanted Gracie to hold hers. Waaah!
We felt so thankful to be able to share special holidays with great friends. The kids didn't want the night to end. When it did, there were sleeping bodies that had to be carried.
