What to do when the weather is 90 degrees and muggy as the everglades?
Head to the beach!

You played in the sand solo for a nice 5 minutes
Then King Pharaoh enlisted Mommy to be chief water bucket filler
While you sat in the banks of sand pyramids
Cheering everytime I slumped into the waves for refills
It's hard to see, but you had a good sized bath tub trench to play inside
"mmoaaaaaaaaaahhhrgh"
Evidently there are still no breaks in Egypt!
Back to work Mom! Pharaoh says, "more water!!"
Yes, we had a ball!
You climbed all over Mommy on the blanket, splashed in the shore, walked in the waves, pointed out all the cool things you saw, dug out our treat stash, and had a beach picnic of tabbouleh, apples, pita chips, lentils, pb &j, water, and sand grains.
Note to mom: Next time remember an umbrella! Leave the beach chair home! You're in the moms club now! I finally understood the nicety of a wagon in the mist of slaving mule back beach bags, cooler, and tot, through hot sand, while babyless persons sunbathed. Who needs to trek to the nice secluded spot now?!?!! Bee line in an arrow from the car to the closest sand wedge next to the water (Pharaoh calls!).
When you had enough sun, we headed to the car and you kept asking me to go to the bathhouse because you kept seeing kids go inside! What? A party without Shadden?!?!! So I gave you a walk through and took you somewhere even cooler...the big kid playground!
You are a tickle to watch walking around and sliding by yourself
in your totery 12 month body among screaming 8 year olds!
You always find friends to play with at the playground
(Mommy likes the nice older girls best!)
You still wanted to run after the big kids even though you were getting trampled!
Nothing like refreshing watermelon after a hot day
- Throwing toys from the top of the stairs down to the bottom and retrieving them
- Having Mommy turn on & off the water for bath while you stand holding the whale covered faucet and alternate putting your feet underneath. Poking your legs out of your bath tub to let your toes dangle over the edge (You know the words hands, toes, and feet)
- Climbing (any and everything!) up your rocking chair, standing, rocking, and trying to climb over before Mommy pulls you down. Climbing to the top of the step ladder (not baby step stool-high land adult step ladder) and standing. Climbing over the car seats.
- Sitting in the Drivers seat of the car turning on the window washers and steering (Thanks Daddy!)
