Shadden Kai: Age 12 Months

It's a little hard to see your walking skills because your on a dirt mission. You can just see your brain working faster than your limbs with some swell plan brewing as you gather chunks of wood chips and your little smile curl with satisfaction. You remind me of your cousin Hailey here!

You have started saying the cutest words!!! You babble in earnest to me using gestures, intonation, and facial expressions talking like a wizard trying to explain your theory to me while I watch you and blink and try to keep up. Your current vocabulary is:

8. Mom, Mam-a, Mam-ma

At 12 months, you can now:

• Walk well!
• Put puzzle pieces in and out of your puzzles
• Push your shapes through the holes in your shape-finder toy
• Point to animals when asked in books or life (horse, cat, dog, bird..)
• Put your cyclinder through the open circle block in your wooden block set
• Communicate with words and motions
• Welcome people with hugs, kisses, and ask to be picked up
