We celebrated Mother's Day just the two of us. We started out nice and lazy in sweats and cuddled and played all day. Right before bed, I held you in my arms singing to put you to sleep and you climbed up me to plant a wet one. Awww. Then you repeated this twenty-some times so we fell to sleep full of kisses, with your head on my left shoulder and arm across my chest, Duma on my upper legs, Hero curled into my knees, and silly Hana under the bed. I was plastered to one position in the sweetest love tin...thank you! You were having a really hard day and night and woke up almost all night long (teething?) so instead of flaying out of my arms into your star sleeping pose with every limb extended, you just had to had to had to be completely on top of Mommy all night long. Head in my neck with your body splashed on mine. I think you need size 4 in seventh generation diapers because they are much smaller and you keep growing! You had an accident on my pillow in the morning (why do I still have anthropologie quilting on the bed and pillows?!?!!) and thankfully just missed Mommy's head and the mattress. Nice aim! Oh, and everyone was right, cleaning up after your own baby does feel different. I could do your laundry, hand washing, and folding your 12 month clothes all day long. It makes me happy to be your Mommy. Praise the Lord for letting me! I could sing of your love forever!
