Strawberry Picking Days!

Is it strawberries that bring on summer or summer that brings on strawberries? I'm not sure, but the only thing that could rival our intoxicating honeysuckle and jasmine streets are fields of sweet, sweet, ripe, perfect strawberries. Ahhh! I could mash strawberries all day just for a whiff of that blessed smell. I hope someday you'll have a kindergarten teacher who smells like strawberry jam and gives you stamps on your hands in strawberry scented ink just like mine did. In the spring my nose is sold to lilacs. In the summer, it's all about the strawberry.

Summer home wish list: strawberry soap, oil, candles, pie...cover us in everything strawberry and bring on shortcake please! Of I were a tech wizard, I'd cross these all out and just keep strawberry kisses and your face in my shopping cart.

We had perfect wind to blow the fabulous berry aroma around our noses!
You wasted no time!
The concept that it was suddenly, "okay" for you to eat something you picked from the plant wasn't connecting, but you were happy to eat Mommy's selections from my hand and basket

You loved having me chase you down the rows giggling with a mouthful and berry in each hand!
Which berry first?
We played peek-a-boo in the bushes looking for berries
Someberry boy liked to have his hands full
Mouth prepped for another big bite
Testing berry fragility
Delicious Mama!
Serious business this berry eating

Mommy had to pick as fast as she could because as soon as I dropped a berry in the basket, two popped out
I saw that!
I think we'll keep this our special date
Mommy loves sticky strawberry hugs & kisses
Daddy was probably better off home sleeping on this adventure
It's harder to run down strawberry lanes than it looks
But we love a challenge!
Running only makes the sweet strawberry smell better!
Luring the precious into a strawberry trance
A farmer there said he got confused because
All he could see was a hat moving in the bushes!
Then my berry boy announced in his perfect Farmer Sha tone, "done"
5 lbs. of berry loot
One last strawberry smoosh & smear
A nice, clean, new outfit romp
and you crashed in your carseat all the way home
