James 1:17
Sweet Kealana,
Today you are one week old. You have the sweetest spirit. One look in your eyes softens my heart. We can't get over your tiny petite features. You are so small-just like your brother. You were one pound heavier and 3/4 of an inch shorter. He was very lean looking while you are tiny and smooth with full cheeks. I had a feeling you might have your Mama's cheeks after dreams and an ultrasound. You have such a beautiful complexion. I love your soft smooth skin.
You love to be close and cuddled. You are constantly on your Mama. It's pure joy finally being able to hold you! Your brother has to pet and embrace and kiss you whenever he goes by you. Your Nana thinks you are just beautiful and that you remind her of me. Your Daddy missed cuddling with you when we were in the hospital and loves to give you kisses and say sweet nothings about your wonderfulness.
You are a petite, slow, and great eater. Your brother ate so fast and hard while you lay and take baby sips like a little lady. I dream of our future tea parties!
You haven't cried since we've been home from the hospital. This makes me so sad thinking how unfriendly those first precious moments in the world were for you. I wish upon wish you and your brother didn't have to be poked and prodded by doctors, but I'm so grateful you are both in perfect ah, let's say it again...perfect health. Life is such a blessing!
I love being home with you and taking care of you. I enjoy cleaning every diaper because it means you are healthy and growing. Your Daddy says you look like you are just thriving in health. This is butter to my soul. My milk is in and you are pooing your current diet. One week, I'm not sure how the time is flying by so quickly/
I am overjoyed by you and your marvelous Maker. Everything God does is perfect and you are the testimony. Thank you Lord for our dearest Kealana.
