The favor of the Lord smiled upon us as we anticipated our 4am departure. The doctors decided to give you your last dose of antibiotics at midnight instead of 4am so that we could leave by 1am and be snuggled away sleeping at home by 4am. It was 30 degrees outside! We bundled you up which is difficult because your sooo teeny...but the results were extra extra CUTENESS!

Nurses stopped us to look at how cute you were!
You were out!
Mouth wide open in a deep sleep.
Nothing could rustle you!

Are we really leaving?!?!!

Daddy carried the precious cargo while mama lumped along clutching her aching tummy. Driving home felt surreal. I hadn't seen the outside world for a week! The moon was full and the sky looked so beautiful. I told your Dad it felt like years had passed rather than a week. You slept the whole time. When we were about to turn onto our street your Dad said to me, "We're really a family now. I couldn't have come home without you and only Shadden in the backseat." Thank you Lord for truly bringing us all home safely!
