SURPRISE! Gulley Baby Shower

On Christmas Eve I was told for Christmas that everyone chipped in to get me a prenatal massage. I was sooo excited! My body was desperate for one! There was a form fitting inlet pillow for my body to fall into so I was actually on my stomach and back for the entire massage. The masseuse was also a reflexologist. Perfect!! She worked on my back and feet as I melted away. I didn't want to leave the spa! I had the whirlpool and shower room all to myself. I would have worn the robe and slippers the entire week if I could have. It was the perfect present. I was so grateful to be able to relax and think all by myself as I drank gallons of spa water and herbal teas. The weather was warmer at the Spa so we got to drive with the windows down in the sun as I wondered how I could possibly have to go to the bathroom 8 times in a row.

Bobby and I planned to go home and get lunch and ask if anyone wanted to come back and lay at the pool and relax. Instead! I walked into a surprise shower that we were over an hour late for! Oppps! I convinced Bobby to get a massage after me because I had no idea what was going on! I was so confused and shocked. Everyone had been waiting so long they had all eaten lunch so Bobby and I ate amazing vegan take out that Corin & Bryan drove an hour away to pick up admiring all the baby decorations adorable vegan cupcakes perfectly frosted Martha Stewart style and turned into baby rattles, baby blocks, and homemade vegan cookies! Beautiful and scrumptious! Corin seriously outdid herself! GG had printed out baby pictures of your Dad, gotten baby paper plates and napkins, hung up purple and yellow streamers and flower petaled lanterns, and got its a boy and its a girl m&m's. Very cute! All in the middle of everything she did for Christmas! I couldn't believe it. Christmas is quite a project to prepare for on its own. Your Auntie Lori and Uncle Paul had gone to the store to get groceries for the party mimosa's and other treats. Everything tasted incredible! Since we were late, we had to rush to open presents and play a game since it was Christmas Eve and there were other events on the days agenda. We got baby clothes, socks, a bottle warmer, an ornament, and a baby hiking carrier. So spoiled! We played Baby pictionary which was really fun. You moved the entire time we played games. When everyone left your Dad and I looked at your Dad's baby book and baby pictures that GG made when she had him. He was such a cute baby! It's wild that you are going to have your own "birth story" soon. Your Auntie Corin did an incredible job planning and preparing everything. We can't wait for you to meet your cousin Mason. You will be two years apart with very close birthdays since his is in April and your due date is March 20th. I keep wondering if you will be a Pisces or an Aries! Right on the cusp...we'll see! By the way you keep rolling around inside me it makes me think you are a baby Aries. I hope whatever you end up being that we will get on okay...even in the teens! Next Christmas with the Gulley's you will be able to take in the excitement too! Mason was so excited he could barely eat. It made it more real seeing Mason and Corin mothering realizing that soon enough that would be Bobby and I.
