Sweet tempered cousin Mason. Who needs presents when you have cousins?!?!! This Christmas we had so much fun being with family that it made me wonder if all those traditions I have dreamed up in my head are more important than plain old celebrating with family. It felt so good to be in a house full of people rather than by our lonesomes like we were for Thanksgiving.
You woke up saying, "May" for Mason and followed him everywhere.
It was great to see him again and learn more of his unfolding personality-especially in the contrast of you! Mason is calm and incredibly self composed for his age. I wish you could be around him more and learn from his excellent example!
Since birth, you've been a wildcat.
When you wake up, you wake up. There's no groggy lets lay and cuddle and readjust to the world interval. No. You wake up ready-jumping and taking and moving and hopping about. Not exactly the quiet, calm, I'll read to myself for hours until everyone else wakes up Cousin of yours. So, after we woke the house on Day 1 of Gulley Christmas, we had to come up with a new plan and go for a walk outside for a few hours until everyone else was ready for morning.
I'm so thankful you travel well and adjust well and get so excited on our trips. You love to have fun and don't want to miss out on a minute of it. You were a trooper for missed naps and late nights that when you did ask with a sad pathetic plea of, "Moommieeee" Daddy and I left Disney at 11:00pm after the light parade when everyone else stayed until 1:30am to take you home and put you to bed. You were so cooked you passed out in the car holding my hand in one hand and leaning your cheek into my hand holding my arm with the other. My affectionate one.
You (of course) wanted to hug Mason with all your exploding love. Thankfully, Mason who never likes to be touched was incredibly kind and patient and endured your love-athon and even graced you with a few special hugs that made you feel like a King!
