People to see, places to go!!

Eating breakfast with Daddy in the morning
Avocado on toast, granola yogert, & coconut milk

Ohh my flower, we are having so much fun together!!! I love our moments, our playtime, our love, and the fact that you are my baby forever. I end the day with the satisfaction that once again, we had a great day. I couldn't ask for a more fun playmate to spend my days. Thank you! Your favorite things are still people & exploring. Your life motto has been, "people to see, places to go!" People first of course, my little lover! I am amazed by your socialite personality and on your tail of your expeditions. You have been the ultimate traveler, my dream angel baby on every plane ride.

I have a thousand stories of you in my head and several months to catch up on so I will highlight the basics of things you have been doing.

November (7 Months):
-Understand the words/phrases: come, peekaboo, where's Shadden?, can I have that?, careful, Duma, Hero, Good Morning!
-Cruising
-Able to open and close your bedroom door, dresser drawers, cabinets, etc.
-Unroll toilet paper and pull out Kleenex from boxes
-Can push and walk with your stand up walker gizmo (not sure what it is named-it isn't a walker but is a push toy)
-Favorite toy: balls

December (8 Months):
-Self initiate peekaboo with blanket, door, and curtain
-Waving
-Empty bookcases and clothes from dresser drawers
-Rolling balls
-Standing Unassisted
-Play Chase
-Sitting on ride on's
-Drumming
-Pinching
-Tickle Mama's tummy-mimicing Mama tickling yours
-Favorite books: peekaboo flapping books

January (9 Months):
-Waving & saying, "hi!"
-Singing
-Babbling
-Understand the words: i love you, book, up, out, 1-2-3, bath, walk, (learning more), tickles, funny, etc.
-Throwing balls
-Clapping
-Running away from bath time (stinker!)
-Play Hide and Go Seek (in back of your rocker)
-Refuse to get out of bath when Mommy says, "okay ready to get OUT? Out, 1-2-3!" Before I can get to 3, you sit back down into the tub and do this over and over again while I let you play longer until your toes are pruning and I insist it's truly time to get out not self choosing option time anymore and you say, "waAAAAh!" while I lift you and wrap you in the towel and accept it when I stand up and your cuddling in my arms.
-Favorite toy: remote control

You are still in a strong Mommy attachment and never want me to be very far from you. Mommy in the kitchen or eating at the table while you are playing in the living = not okay! This is fantastic because in the entire world, we chose each other. Our inseparable closeness is probably my favorite thing. I've never been away from you for more than 3 hours since we were separated in the NICU! Basically, you are my world and I am yours...every single day, all day, every single night, all night long. For a stay at home mom, I am surprisingly very unproductive in the home...someone else likes my attention (a lot!). When I start to get discouraged that I am behind in everything else, I have to remind myself, "your going to miss this...". There will be plenty of times for dishes but only a few short years when our worlds are one.

Your keen on voice tone! You know the specific voice tones I use for specific purposes and react instantly. You know my playing voice, my excited voice, my teasing voice for chase and games, my reassuring voice, my calm voice, my explanation voice, and every voice tone I use. Your perception is amazing! Daddy and I are alarmed at how much you understand exactly what is taking place.

You have a bottomless stomach, excellent appetite, and varied vegetarian diet. You will eat anything! Daddy and I look at one another in astonishment. You eat beans like they are m&m's! I wish recorded you popping pinto beans into your mouth tonight as you ate portion after portion and asked for more. You would have thought they were jelly beans with the speed you inhaled and reached down for another bean to plop into your adorably cute bean mouth. You eat all vegetables and tofu. I have only seen you turn down potatoes and rice. Everything else goes down the hatch and is quickly referenced for more. You are a vocal eater! "waaAAh! WAAAhh!!" means more mom, NOW! I hope you'll always have this appetite-there could be some Talbert in you yet!

On a great sleeping day, you take two 40 min. naps (possibly a third) and sleep 10-12 hours every night (you just wake up every 40 min. and I nurse, hold, and bounce you back to sleep).

Like most babies, where ever we go you attract attention. People have stopped me several times when I am engrossed in an outing's activity to comment on, "the most beautiful girl!" Insert smiley face. We take no offense! Your Daddy got the same thing!! Those beautiful Bobcat eyes you inherited. Love them! True you are often in gender neutral clothes and wrapped in a flowered carrier, but it's still funny. Some people go nutzy cookoo and must react several times on how you are, "the most attractive baby," they have ever seen in their lives. No offense to you, but I think every parent gets these comments. Babies are the cutest in the world!! Your Daddy disagrees with my sharply here pointing out that he sees babies everyday at work and you are unmistakably the cutest. Which of course you are! I want everyone to know you and your personality too because it melts my heart daily.

When people interact with you they say you are: Clever, alert, smiley, happy, sweet, loving, playful, active, strong, adept, coordinated, advanced, etc.

Sometimes I look at you and still see your newborn face in my arms. Other times, I see this long body dangling and moving in all directions. I cried when I realized I'll never be able to buy you baby clothes again. You are becoming a little boy. When we are around another baby or child, I see my sweet baby who can do so many things in such a small statue and it seems so odd for you to be able to do so much at such a young age. You have grown up before my eyes and it is still alarming.

ha- the girl comments!! Jaxon could be in ALL BLUE, wearing something that said "ALL BOY" or whatever and people would still call him a girl!!! He had those beautiful blues, and long lashes....tough having adorable kids, isn't it?
