2 1/2 months
Can you say b-u-s-y? This has been a busy time of family, visits, travels, visitors, and sadly the loss of our beloved Bella Rose Gulley. Meow! It is still painful to talk about Bella as her missing presence is a sore daily reminder. We love her so!
You have been meeting people nonstop! Here's a glimpse of what your schedule has been
March: Nana stays for 3 weeks until you are born!
April: Nana, Dad, GG & Grandpa, Auntie Patricia, Uncle Jeff, & Uncle Ryan visit
May: Nana returns, Corin & Mason 2 week visit, 2 week trip to Michigan to see Nana, Grandma, and many friends!
June: Dad, Uncle Ian & Sean visit for 2 1/2 weeks, trip to Utah for Corin's wedding & Gulley-Shih family reunion, then Geal, Dad, Ian & Sean return for another week
July: Talbert family reunion in Pennsylvania, Grandpa visits, trip to Jackson Hole, & first roadtrip to Michigan for a week!
I still can't believe you are my baby. We love to cuddle together while nursing. You always hold hands and reach for mine if I move to do something. You look up at me with the sweetest eyes. Tonight you were nursing and we were holding hands and Daddy came in to say, "hi." You lifted
up your head to stop drinking and smiled up at him and then returned to nursing. Awww! You constantly melt our hearts!! You are so irresistible! I love to hold your cute hands and body and feet. I can remember being so in awe of other babies teeny features and wishing for my own someday and now I can't believe you are really my little baby that I get to hold and never have to give you back to anyone. I love you! Being a mom makes me well up in tears for you because of the love we share. I am so thankful you have given me the most incredible gift of being your mom.
You are getting so strong! You are rolling over during tummy time and lifting yourself up 90 degrees chest in the air loving it!! You break our hearts with your adorable smiles. You are so happy! You only fuss before you fall asleep sometimes you are too tired to even fuss at all! You love to be walked outside in the sling or just in my arms before nap or bedtime. It relaxes you. We go out with Hero and Duma and stroll around and you nestle in close holding onto me so tightly. I wish you would always cuddle up with me like you do right now! It is the best thing in the whole world! I just laid you in your crib for night-night after singing to you and you looked up at me with tears while I put my palm on your chest and said, "it's okay." Then you stopped and started self soothing until you fell asleep a minute later. Are you the best baby in the world or what?!!?!! I have to stand a foot or so away from the crib so I can see you but you can't see me. If you see my face you want me so it's better when I stand back. Oh and bath time don't get me started on how darling and sweet you are during bath time! You give the sweetest looks and rub your face against my hand when I bathe your body nuzzling into my touch. Aw!!!

Since we have had so many visitors and have been traveling you have not been able to use your nursery. I tried putting you in your crib one night a week ago and I got too lonely having you in another room! After one sleep session I had to bring you back into the bassinet in our room because I wasn't ready for you to be a big boy in your own crib yet. But when we came back from Utah your nursery looked so cute I decided to try it again to let you get acquainted with your room. For the last two nights you have slept in your crib and woken up only once (at 1:30 am/2:30 am and then at 6:00 am). I'm not sure if you are just tired from traveling or if this is a new trend and you are moving to sleeping through the night. I am fine either way. I really don't mind not sleeping and waking up every few hours. Thankfully I am blessed with a lot of energy so it isn't a problem for me at all. I just want what you need. I'll do anything for my boy. You are so cute in your crib! So tiny! I have to go and check on you several times and just stare at you flat out like a frog arms flailed on either side and legs sprawled out on either side. Daddy is constantly saying we must get videos of you and he is right! You are mesmerizing!
