After having Auntie Corin and cousin Mason stay with us for two weeks we packed up to go meet more new people. We just returned from your first trip to St. Joe. We went to spend my first Mother's Day with Nana and Grandma and ended up staying for two weeks! Nana nursed me back to recovery and gave you tons of QT! I'm finally off of bed rest...yeah!! Again, we've been spoiled in Nana's arms by her constant care. Lucky us!
You have been having several "first" experiences:
1. First plane ride
2. First beach day
3. First time meeting Grandma
4. First time at the Lake (aka Grandma's house)
5. First massage
6. First Baby yoga (back in D.C. at Mama's yoga studio)
Nana and Daddy are sure you grew a few pounds while we were away. All I know is that you started sleeping more in your cradle at night and less with me. This is probably good but also kind of heartbreaking too. The changes happen so quickly! You still want to sleep with or on someone during the day for your naps.
You are reacting more and more to others facial expressions. You wake up so happy in the morning smiling constantly! It's the sweetest! I always think I should take a picture but the moments are too sweet to capture-we just live them instead. Plus, you know me in the morning! You have started laughing out loud which is just adorable. You are holding your head up so well and were doing about 45 degree angles during tummy time while we were away. The other day you brought yourself up to about 90 lifting your chest up in the air!! You are so strong...a natural athlete like your Dad?!?!!!
We came home to enjoy a few days with Daddy before your Uncles Ian and Sean and Papa came. Daddy missed you so much while we were away! It's been nice having family time. Bobby can't stop taking pictures of you and saying constantly how cute you are.
Papa, Ian, & Sean are staying with us for a week. Sean is so sweet checking in on you and petting you! You just kind of stare at all the action taking it in and of course you love being in your Papa's relaxing arms cooing at him just like when you were in the NICU.
