Tonight I had my first prenatal yoga class at Yoga Birth & Beyond. I feel so much better after it! The instructor is incredible and told a couple birthing stories of babies painlessly "slipping out." My mouth literally hung open in awe. She talked about the muscles, postures, breathing, and I felt better just listening to everything she said. The random, "OWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW OWWWWWWWW!!!?!?!?!" wake up screaming foot cramps that I have had are partly from dehydration! Thankfully those are only occasionally...for myself and your father! Once again water my vice hits me again. When asked, "how many kegels are you doing a day? 150? 100?" I had to shamefully reply, "none." Dag it! The yoga itself was easy and more restful than anything but the positions are supposedly ones that might feel nice during labor. I was the only one in the class with a home birth and the instructor highly recommended a giant aquadoulla. I hope we can get one! All of these birthing things are just so pricey. There are so many books I want to read! It's so exciting and reassuring to be able to learn about this crazy new world. Even though I hear there is no way to really "prepare" for birth, it is a comfort and makes me inwardly feel more prepared.
