After a birthday parade around the square
we went to TRAIN TOWN!!!

The Sunday after Shadden's birthday, we met up with friends for a picnic in the park and some birthday fun.  Shadden planned the whole party!  Shadden announced it was time for games.  We played red light green light, parachute, sang Little Red Caboose, pinata, and had a birthday parade around the square.  Shadden picked out personal balloons at the balloon store for everyone to attach to their scooter.

Shadden-happy birthday balloon
Harrison-blue star
Andrew-red star
Gracie-Pink heart with flowers on it (and Mis Quince!)
Kealana-pink flower
Auntie Ann-blue flower
Mommy-purple flower
Daddy's-green stars because green is Shadden's favorite and so Daddy should have green (since they didn't have any black balloons which Shadden still believes is Daddy's favorite color because of its color frequency in Daddy's wardrobe).

While we were waiting for helium Shadden made up a birthday song and sang it in the store and all the way home as he rode away happily piled in his carseat surrounded by balloons, "I am the birthday boy, the birthday boy, the birthday boy....I am the birthday boy).  Kealana was delighted to hold her own pink balloon and say, "BAAOO" swating it around making us all laugh.

After Shadden's birthday games, we left the park and went to Train Town!  Everyone rode the airplanes first.  Then, Shadden and Gracie and Harrison rode the Ferris Wheel all by themselves with no adults per Shadden's request.  The gang rode the roller coaster with Shadden taking turns riding with Gracie and Harrison.  When Shadden rode with Gracie they cuddled during the scary parts.  When he rode with Harrison he held the bar as hard as he could!  Everyone took a train ride on the steam locomotive and we called it a night.

My little extrovert was in party heaven and wrote his thank you card to Gracie out loud to Daddy and I twenty times the next day!
