Dear Kealana,
My everyday clothing catastrophe is a huge PRAISE GOD. Baby girl, you are g-r-o-oooooo-w-ing. Whew! I'm about as large at 32 weeks with you as I was full term with your brother! We had our ultrasound growth check and passed. Yes! My prayers for no more ultrasounds were granted as we were released from the high risk perinatalogist office with, "no concerns. From our perspective, you have a healthy, large, very active little girl." It took a while to get accurate measurements because some little lady was showing off her moves. Don't I know it! You are my little swimmer...another athlete for your Daddy, I presume. You measure 4lbs. 7 oz. which is above average in the 60th percentile for weight at this age explaining my huge, "oh my gosh nothing fits" issues. Can I get an Amen??!?!!
I started having braxton hicks contractions at 31 weeks. The perinatalogist predicts a 8 plus pounder (giant remembering your teeny 6lb. 2oz. brother). They confirmed your head downward position and I daily feel the new pressures of your positioning and my body naturally preparing for birth. I've begun the weekly countdown...7 more weeks until I see your precious face!!! I can't wait! The other night I was holding my stomach laying on my side resting while you were doing your usual somersaults. You flipped in such a way I actually felt like I was holding your limbs in my hands and arm. It was so beautiful!! A foretaste of the feast to come! I melted to mush and haven't been able to stop picturing your face and holding you in my arms ever since. Now...if I could only get everything else ready.
My huge prayer now is that you continue to keep growing steadily and STAY PUT until January. Sometimes braxton hicks can make a momma worry so I keep trying to remind myself I had them with Shadden as well. Keep on dear on! May angels surround you.
