When your Daddy came home from working hard all night for several days in a row and said, "Want to go to the Lake today?" You bet your bunnies I said "YES!" on the spot and ran like fury to pack our bags and get you together. Despite the drive and traffic (you slept through) which made your Dad swear we were, "never going there again!" I love, love, love going to Cunningham Falls with you! We have the best time! You sleep in the car, we have a perfect sandy/swimmy day with ice cream cones and playground romps to cap it off and a nice sunny wipe out snooze home. It's so much fun!!!! The town is filled with the sweetest people, the beach is so nice, lake so lovely, falls so pretty, and you love meeting funny little shore friends. Lakes feel so Michiganesk and being encompassed by hundreds of bushy summer trees just brightens and feeds the soul not to mention the sunny blue sky canopy! Ahhh! Then, we come home to let Daddy sleep, while we tend to the animals, bathe, read books, and have our night time romp where you walk around as fast as you can laughing so hard with me hot on your tail that you fall over and dive under and over objects to scamper the house like an obstacle trail breaking out a sprint crawl when you laugh so hard you lose your balance walking and I have to pause, "aww, you just crawled like you used to do!" only to race back on because your up on your feet again whizzing away looking for me to chase you more. Then its kissy kiss time and you crash out splayed between Daddy and I in bed like the cutest bunnybear you ever did see. We snuggle and wake up to you saying, "cCat!" laying your head into Duma nestled in my legs and Hero at our heels and it just feels so good to have our whole family together in bed, getting breakfast, going for rocket rides in pajamas, that I don't want to leave the house or have Daddy go to work so we can all just be like this, together. We are so lucky to have a hard working Dad who lets us be free summer birdies. Take me to the lake please!!!
